£22,000 - £25,000 pro rata

Hours

60 hours per month with variable hours. Average of 1 office day and 2 evening meetings per week

Job Context

Norfolk Young Farmers is a registered charity supporting rural young people. This voluntary youth organisation consists of 10 senior clubs and 5 junior clubs, with membership ranging from aged 10-30. The Countrysiders are aged between 10-16 and are the junior part of Norfolk Young Farmers. The clubs meet every two week and are for anyone with an interest in the countryside. This position is one of the paid county roles that works together alongside the membership to co-ordinate county wide competitions, events, membership, etc.  

Job Summary

This staff post will be required to work with the Countrysiders leaders to co-ordinate and deliver the activities for Norfolk Countrysiders. To open new clubs, recruiting volunteer leaders and assist with the running of the clubs. This will include organising & booking the programme, managing the accounts, communications, social media, website and event planning. Organise yearly camp out & parental consent forms, reporting safeguarding to County Organiser.  

 

This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check and refrencing.

Job Content

  1. Develop links and engage with the membership & club leaders. 

  2. Maintain relationships with funding bodies, sponsors, and other stakeholders, ensuring grant aims and objectives are met. 

  3. Ensure policy documents are kept up to date, informing the County Organiser of any changes required for the organisation.  

  4. Attend and participate in Countrysiders meetings and events where applicable. 

  5. Offer support, advice and guidance and where necessary help run Countrysiders meetings, including charitable status and aims. 

  6. Joint Responsibility for Safeguarding for members and referencing of leaders and helpers alongside the County Organiser. 

  7. Oversee the running of the general marketing and promotional activities that actively increase and maintain membership. 

  8. Social media work as required.  

  9. Evening work essential and occasional weekend work as agreed with the County Organiser.  

  10. Any other reasonable duties as requested by the County Chairman, Line Manager and/or Steering Committee.
